Flocor Inc., is subsidiary of Deschenes Group Inc. and a leader in the industrial pipe, valve and fitting distribution industry. We are searching for a Warehouse Manager for our Delta, BC Warehouse site. The individual is responsible for the delivery of optimum levels of customer service through ensuring the daily workload is assigned, priorities are established and addressed and, proper staffing levels are maintained.
Responsibilities
Supervise warehouse salary staff and hourly employees and assign and/or direct work assignments, to document hours worked by employees and verify employee time sheets; to monitor and document employee attendance, including vacations; to issue discipline as required/requested
Supervise, coordinate and delegate all aspects of warehouse operations including shipping, receiving and counter sales; coordinates stocking of product into inventory and removal of product from inventory; ensures shipments are loaded and tracked correctly and deliveries are dispatched
Ensurensure all equipment and vehicles are in good condition and properly maintained; to review all vehicle and equipment log books, pre and post trip inspections and pre-start up checklists to ensure all documentation is current and complete; maintains files as required/requested; makes recommendations for repair and/or replacement; communicates issues to Regional Manager
Open and lock-up the property; to ensure warehouse facility and storage yard is maintained in a clean and orderly manner and complies with all health and safety standards; to ensure the safe-keeping of the property, buildings, vehicles and products by ensuring all fire and security systems are operational
Assist with the training of warehouse employees and the orientation of new employees; identifies and communicates training needs to the Regional Manager; ensures training is ccompleted and documented
Participate in and promote the Company Health and Safety Program; to undertake training as required/requested; to ensure adherence to all Health and Safety guidelines; maintains related files
Respond to all warehouse inquiries including assisting in the identification, communication and correction of warehouse errors; makes recommendations and implements corrective cactions
Remain current with product knowledge, company policy and procedures an legislative/payroll requirements
Participate in warehouse physical inventory as required/requested
Assist counter staff as required/requested
To investigate accidents/incidents involving vehicles, equipment and personnel; document and issue reports as required/requested
To assist with job/employee evaluations, vacation scheduling and hiring of new warehouse personnel as required/requested
Generate reports as required/requested
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Minimum five (5) years’ experience in a warehouse environment with supervisory experience, preferably with knowledge/experience in fire protection and/or plumbing and heating and/or industrial pipe and fittings
College Diploma in Business Administration or a related discipline
A combination of education and experience
Bilingual (French & English) is an asset and may be required for some locations
Self-starter, well organized with ability to multi task and work to shifting priorities
Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
Leadership skills with ability to delegate
Possess an intermediate level of computer competency with Microsoft Word, Excel Outlook and web based applications
Good mathematical skills
Must be able to self-manage and prioritize goals with minimal supervision
